AIM? In 2026? Why?

Because I can! The actual answer is I was inspired by a video a friend sent to me. Forget Discord, I'm switching back to AIM by Veronica Explains

So, with the attached blog and a lot of hours, I got my own server set up and fully accessible with web signup!

but WAIT. Before you think of throwing together your own server or even joining mine, you must understand, Clients are not easy to source and your best bet is going to be the original AIM client.

AIM is quite old now, and while that is probably a selling point to you, its not the best expierence, and I still haven't successfully set it up on linux despite a few hours of attempts.

If you are still interested though, continue reading and i'll walk you through the steps on WINDOWS ONLY (currently anyway) to get it set up.
